student Programs

Reading Readiness: This research-based program is designed to develop foundational pre-reading skills necessary for students to be successful learning to read. Once students demonstrate proficiency in pre-reading skills, they will start the Alphabetic Phonics program to begin learning to read independently.

Alphabetic Phonics: This research-based, multisensory Orton-Gillingham program was specifically designed for struggling readers. It is a highly effective and comprehensive program, including phonological awareness, systematic and structured phonics, alphabet, spelling, handwriting, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary development, and verbal/written expression. Participating students receive a pre-screening report, timely progress reports, and an end-of-year final report. Students and their academic teachers receive support throughout the year to help them be as successful as possible.

Multisensory Reading & Spelling: This research-based Orton-Gillingham program was designed for struggling readers and spellers in middle school and high school. Combined with comprehension strategies, students will learn to be better independent readers and spellers.

Meaningful Road to Writing: This program is designed to help students - grades 2 through 12 become comfortable with writing while providing the tools and techniques to write effectively. Grammar and punctuation are taught within the context of student writing, where students view themselves as authors meaningfully choosing words, sentence structures, and appropriate punctuation to communicate their ideas. Students will create their own writing resource, and recognize the power of their words. It is amazing to see students’ reading and writing skills improve along with their attitude about writing.
